Any person accessing the Explore Concordia microsite is deemed to accept the policies of Concordia University and the following conditions of access. These terms and conditions are to be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Canada and the Province of Quebec.

All Explore Concordia microsite pages and the content appearing on those pages are the property of Concordia University unless otherwise attributed. Failing an indication to the contrary, all Explore Concordia content has been produced or compiled by Concordia and is protected by copyright.

The design and content of Explore Concordia are protected under the Canadian Copyright Act, by the statutes, regulations and policies of Canada and Quebec, by international agreements and treaties, and by the policies and bylaws of Concordia University.

Explore Concordia content may be downloaded and reproduced for personal, noncommercial use or for illustrative purposes in reviews or reporting (the “Purposes”). Excerpting, adapting, reproducing, re-publishing, transmitting, or distributing Explore Concordia’s design or content for any commercial purpose are expressly prohibited unless authorized in writing by Concordia University. Concordia University reserves its copyright and all other rights as exclusive owner of the Explore Concordia microsite.

Without in any way limiting or modifying Concordia University’s exclusive rights over the content, Concordia University welcomes normal internet “sharing” or “posting” of Explore Concordia pages for the Purposes, as long as the corresponding original URLs remain visible and as long as it is clear that the content is the property of Concordia University. For the sake of clarity, Concordia University prohibits the display of any Explore Concordia content in a frame on another website, or reproduction via any other method lacking original URLs or where the material displayed is not clearly identified as the property of Concordia University.

Users of Explore Concordia acquire no rights or licenses other than those expressly indicated in the present terms.

Logos and Trademarks

The names “Concordia University” and “Explore Concordia” and the logos, arms, crests, emblems and other symbols used by Concordia University and its subsidiary or affiliated organizations and departments are the sole property of Concordia University and are protected by the Canadian Trademarks Act, which reads, at article 9(1)(n)(ii):

"No person shall adopt in connection with a business, as a trade-mark or otherwise, any mark consisting of, or so nearly resembling as to be likely to be mistaken for, (n) any badge, crest, emblem or mark (ii) of any university. . . in respect of which the Registrar has, at the request of Her Majesty or of the university or public authority, as the case may be, given public notice of its adoption and use . . . ."

Pursuant to the above, no person may use, display, promote, publish, broadcast or reproduce the Concordia University or Explore Concordia name, logos, arms, crests, emblems and other symbols used by Concordia and its subsidiary or affiliated organizations and departments in any form, including electronically, mechanically or on paper, without the prior express written authorization of an authorized representative of Concordia University.

Explore Concordia pages may contain images or other content that are the trademark property of third parties. Nothing on this microsite should be interpreted to explicitly or implicitly authorize the display, promotion, publication, broadcast or reproduction of these marks in any form.
